§ Sir Peter HordernNo. It is for the National Audit Office to identify its staffing requirements in the light of its programme of value-for-money studies. The Comptroller and Auditor General determines the actual programmes of value-for-money studies, and in so doing he takes account of the views of the Public Accounts Committee. The Comptroller and Auditor General is able to decide whether or not to include House of Commons Commission expenditure among his value-for-money studies.
