§ Mr. John PattenAlthough my right hon. Friend has made no awards of prizes to west midlands junior crime prevention panels, I acknowledged and thanked those involved for the valuable work which they undertake during my address to the crime prevention conference "A Matter of Youth" held at Edgbaston on 18 October 1990. Home Office grants totalling £6,155 have been made under the safer cities programme to support and promote the work of junior crime prevention panels in the west midlands.
