HC Deb 11 July 1991 vol 194 c468W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a table showing the amounts of hazardous waste imported into Great Britain for incineration through Scottish ports from the Irish Republic in each year since October 1988.

Lord James Douglas-Hamilton

The Scottish Office does not hold information on the amounts of hazardous waste imported from the Irish Republic through Scottish ports for disposal of incineration in England and Wales. No such waste has been imported for incineration in Scotland since the Transfrontier Shipment of Hazardous Waste Regulations 1988 came into force.
