To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the total volume and value of exports of Scotch whisky to(a) Europe, (b) the United States of America and (c) Japan at the most recent available date.

In 1990, exports of whisky to the destinations specified were as follows:

Note: Includes small quantities of Northern Irish whiskey, Bourbon and immature plain cereal spirits.
