To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what estimate he has made of the total cost of the RAF Boxer network.

The estimated cost of the RAF Boxer network, including all associated works services, is £230 million at 1991 economic conditions.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence to how many local planning authorities he has submitted notices of proposed development in respect of the Boxer network; and if he will publish a list of those authorities.

My Department has submitted notices of proposed development to 92 local planning authorities in respect of the Boxer network. I am unable to provide a list of these authorities for the reasons I gave to my hon. Friend in my reply of 12 June 1991,Official Report, column 606–7.
