To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 1 July,Official Report, column 4, if he will list the commencement date and duration of each advertising campaign.

Special Constables Recruitment: Tactical 31 July 1991 3 months—11 selected force areas—Part of a month per force.
Awareness 1 April 1991—Continuation from campaign which started in January 1991. There is a range of print material available both during the Campaign periods and throughout the year. 1 month—Post campaign research will determine whether further advertising will be required in this financial year but this will not take place before November 1991.
Crime Prevention 1 April 1991 This comprises a range of publicity material that is generally available year-round.
Fire Prevention and Safety 1 April 1991 A full range of publicity material is available all year-round.
Fire Safety Week 14 October 1991 5 days—Specific print material will be made available in support of National Fire Safety Week.
Passports September/October Not confirmed.
Prison Service Recruitment Autumn Up to 3 months.

I will take this opportunity to correct an error in the table covering non-television publicity campaigns in the answer of 1 July at column 4. The figure for fire prevention and safety should be £1,064,000 and not £2,064,000. The other £1 million is accounted for by the television fire safety advertising mentioned above the table.
