To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the common name of those bird species which require a sales exemption under EC regulation 3626/82, which implements the Convention on Trade in Endangered Species.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will indicate the number of cases investigated by his Department of birds offered for sale suspected of not having exemption under EC regulation 3626/82, the number which were subject to legal proceedings and the number which resulted in prosecutions in each of the last three years for which information is available.
