§ Mr. YeoA decision on the long-term forecasts of national demand for primary aggregates to be published in the draft revision on MPG6 will be taken when we have considered the comments received about the recent forecasts shown in figure 3 in the document "Guidelines for Aggregates Provision in England and Wales—Review of MPG6".

§ Mr. YeoWe welcome comments on the recently published forecasts and these will be carefully considered before any decision on whether there should be a review of the present forecasts.
§ Mr. Tim SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the regional aggregates working parties will be preparing new regional commentaries on the basis of the revised forecasts and resulting regional apportionments based on the AM89 survey.
§ Mr. YeoA regional apportionment of the recently published forecasts based on the results of the AM89 survey has been made available to the regional aggregates working parties (RAWPS) as advice which they may wish320W to take into account as they prepare their regional commentaries. It is also open to the RAWPS to prepare regional commentaries using their own assessment of possible long-term future regional demand.
