To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the loan debt for each London borough for each year since 1979.

The outstanding loan debt for each London borough for 1983–84 to 1989–90 is given in the table. The figures relate to outstanding loan debt as at the end of each financial year. Figures for earlier years are not available.
