To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is his present policy relating to the liberalisation of air services to and from Gibraltar.

Mr. McLoughlin

[holding answer 5 July 1991]: The United Kingdom has been at the forefront of moves to liberalise air services arrangements in the European Community. It has been agreed within the Community that Gibraltar airport will be able to benefit from the EC liberalisation packages when the Gibraltar airport agreement is implemented.
