To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the proposed dualling of the A5 across Ynys Môn.

Following the public consultation exercise last October we expect to make an early announcement of the preferred route for the dualling of the A5 across Ynys Mon. The preferred route for the Holyhead improvement was announced last November and design work is proceeding with ground investigation and topographical surveys due to begin shortly. The A5 schemes are included in the Roads in Wales programme.
