Dr. David Clark

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of people employed in the food industry by county on the latest available date for which figures are available.

Mr. Jackson

The most recent estimates of employees in employment according to industry and by county are from the September1989 census of employment. Data for the food industries are given in the table.
