§ Dr. MawhinneyThe Royal Ulster Constabulary does not have direct access to the police national computer but can indirectly obtain information from the computer by arrangement with police forces in Great Britain. Statistics are not maintained by the RUC on the number of inquiries made each year, but I understand from the chief constable that useage of this facility is infrequent.
