Mr. Robin Cook

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment when Her Majesty's Government intend to ratify the International Labour Organisation convention 161 on occupational health nurses.

Mr. Forth

The Government expect to receive advice from the Health and Safety Commission next year on ILO convention 161, in the light of which they will give further consideration to whether to ratify the convention in question.
