§ Mrs. ChalkerEC Heads of Government discussed South Africa at Luxembourg as the right hon. Member will he aware. They welcomed the important progress made in South Africa towards the abolition of apartheid. They did not agree with the liaison group's recommendation that the EC should suspend its decision to lift some sanctions against South Africa.
