To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's response to the memorandum of the Liaison Group of Anti-Apartheid Movements of 10 June to the President of the Council of Ministers; and if Her Majesty's Government will support its being discussed at the Luxembourg summit.

EC Heads of Government discussed South Africa at Luxembourg as the right hon. Member will he aware. They welcomed the important progress made in South Africa towards the abolition of apartheid. They did not agree with the liaison group's recommendation that the EC should suspend its decision to lift some sanctions against South Africa.
