§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeParliamentary approval for my Department to make payments of grant-in-aid to the Sports Council will be sought in a spring supplementary estimate for the schools, research and miscellaneous services vote (class XI, vote 1). Pending that approval, urgent expenditure of £14,161,000 will be met by repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
