§ Mr. MoynihanEnergy Paper 55 published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office in 1988, copies of which are in the Libraries of both Houses, lists renewable energy technologies by economic classification. Those electricity generation technologies which are close to commercial application such as landfill gas, waste incineration, wind and hydroelectricity are eligible for contract at an above-market price under the non-fossil fuel obligation. Procedures are in hand to make the second non-fossil fuel obligation renewables order later this year.
