§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardOn the measures taken and to be taken to promote energy efficiency within Her Majesty's Treasury, I refer the hon. Member to the answer that I gave to the hon. Member for Holborn and St. Pancras (Mr. Dobson) on 28 June 1990 at column291. As to 347W associated financial savings, for financial year 1990–91 it is estimated that the department will reduce its total energy bill by approximately £5,000 or 2 per cent. of its 1989–90 spend.
