§ 15. Mr. Cryer
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the amount of money spent in 1990 on the set-aside scheme.

§ Mr. Curry
Payments under the set-aside scheme are made one year in arrears. In the 1990–91 financial year £17.5 million has been allocated to cover payments to farmers who joined the scheme in 1988 and 1989.
