To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he will take to safeguard the future incomes of British fishermen.

At the Council of Fisheries Ministers in December we secured the best possible quota allowances for our fishermen for 1991 consistent with maintenance of the stocks. We are considering further technical measures to safeguard those stocks.
