§ Mr. RedwoodThe measures that we have already introduced following the Monopolies and Mergers Commission report on the supply of beer are designed to sharpen competition in the brewing industry. We have asked the Director General of Fair Trading to keep the effect of these measures under review and will consider further steps to promote competition if it should be shown that they are needed.
