To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will review the regulations on accounting and auditing in the United Kingdom.

The statutory provisions on company accounts and auditing are extensive. If the hon. Member has a particular problem in mind and cares to send me details, I shall be pleased to consider it.
