A total of 13,063 episodes of in-patient and day case care were received by residents from Clwyd and Gwynedd in Mersey and North West regional health authorities in 1989–90. Of these, 3,745 episodes were received in Liverpool, Wirral, North Manchester, Central Manchester and South Manchester health authorities. Information by hospital is given in the table.
