HC Deb 21 January 1991 vol 184 c77W
Mr. Alton

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many ophthalmic cases have been dealt with at St. Paul's eye hospital, Liverpool, over the past decade; from what radius they are drawn; what are the annual running costs of the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the future of the hospital.

Mrs. Virginia Bottomley

We do not hold this information centrally. The Liverpool health authority is at present consulting on the proposed closure of the hospital and the future provision of eye services in Liverpool. The hon. Member may wish to contact Mr. Michael Emberton, the authority chairman, for details.
