§ Mrs. ChalkerWe regularly commission independent outside evaluators to work alongside our own evaluation department on studying the effectiveness of particular aspects of the aid programme. The results of around 50 studies completed over the last three years are available.
The development assistance committee—DAC—of the OECD also reviews the aid programmes of its members on a regular basis. A review of the United Kingdom aid programme is currently under way and the conclusions of the DAC will be announced in April.
