To ask the Secretary of State for Energy what is the normal level of oil production offshore for (i) Kuwait, (ii) Saudi Arabia and (iii) in total for all the oil-producing states in the Persian Gulf.

Mr. Moynihan

The normal approximate output levels of offshore oil production are:

  1. (i) Kuwait: 0.024 million barrels/day.
  2. (ii) Saudi Arabia (incl. neutral zone): 2 million barrels/day.
  3. (iii) Total Persian Gulf states: 4 million barrels/day.
