HC Deb 21 January 1991 vol 184 c32W
Mr. Barry Field

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he intends to make directions under the provisions of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act 1990 requiring the maritime industries to take security measures.

Mr. McLoughlin

My right hon. and learned Friend today made directions which will require the industry to take specified measures to improve its counter-terrorist protective security precautions. These directions will be served on the industry as soon as can be arranged. Copies of the directions have been placed in the Library of the House.
