HC Deb 18 January 1991 vol 183 c627W
Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what public relations, public affairs or marketing companies are advising him; on what basis they were appointed; what is the cost, tenure and nature of their appointment; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Archie Hamilton

The MOD does not employ any public relations, public affairs or marketing companies to act as advisors. On occasion, companies are retained on a specific contract basis to assist with the production of films, exhibitions and publications and with attitude surveys and market research. In these instances they always work to strict specifications drawn up and controlled by departmental officials.
