HC Deb 18 January 1991 vol 183 c631W
Mr. Thornton

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what advice he is giving to British subjects, in the light of the Gulf crisis, who are either resident in Cyprus or intending to travel there for business or tourist reasons.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

We see no reason for visitors to Cyprus to change their plans in the light of developments in the Gulf. We have not considered it necessary to give specific advice to the British community in Cyprus. We are keeping the situation under close review.
