Mr. Ralph Howell

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science further to his answer to the hon. Member for Norfolk, North dated 17 December 1990,Official Report, column 26, if he will show the number and change in the number of (a) teachers employed by local education authorities, in full-time equivalents and in percentage terms in each year, and (b) pupils in similar terms since 1970.
