To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will increase aid to Vietnam.

Mrs. Chalker

The Government are providing financial support to British non-governmental organisations for projects in Vietnam. We have no immediate plans to begin a direct aid programme, but we are keeping this question under review.
