To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will take steps to expedite the publication of his Department's annual report under section 729 of the Companies Act 1985.

The most recent report was published on 7 November 1990. The publication date is determined mainly by the time needed to compile the comprehensive statistical information contained in the report. It is always published as soon as possible after the material is available.
