§ The Attorney-GeneralThe Crown prosecution service currently has 366.5 vacancies for lawyers, within a total requirement for lawyers of 2,053. In the past 12 months the number of lawyers in post has increased from 1,580 to 1,686.5, an average net gain of 10.5 per month. There are no vacancies for lawyers or accountants in the Serious Fraud Office.
