§ Mr. ChopeThe Department has a substantial programme of research aimed at improving its understanding of travel behaviour and its traffic forecasting and assessment methods. The standing advisory committee on trunk road assessment will start a review later this year of the evidence on travel responses to trunk road improvements, including trip generation, and will advise the Department accordingly.
