The Office of the Social Security Commissioners (OSSC) received an application for leave to appeal on 604W behalf of the claimant, now deceased, on 7 June 1990. On 22 June, the appellant was asked to submit to the OSSC, in keeping with the requirements of regulation 4 of the Social Security Commissioners Procedures Regulations 1987, a copy of the ruling signed by the chairman of the Medical Appeal Tribunal refusing or granting leave to appeal. On 27 June, a duplicate application for leave to appeal was received from the appellant's solicitors who were promptly informed of the need to supply the required document.
The appellant's solicitors have been given a further opportunity to submit a copy of the tribunal chairman's ruling before a commissioner determines the application.
