§ Mr. HanleyDuring the financial year 1989–90 expenditure by health and personal social services boards on information technology for doctors' practices was £53,000, and the total capital expenditure on information technology for hospital and community health services was £7,426,000.
Accurate figures for expenditure on information technology training in 1989–90 are not readily available in respect of all boards, but total expenditure was in the region of £100,000.
The relevant expenditure figures for the financial year 1990–91 are not available at this stage.
