HC Deb 28 February 1991 vol 186 cc606-7W
Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what are the latest figures for the Leicester area as to how many people are receiving(a) income support, (b) family credit, (c) housing benefit and (d) child benefit; and what percentage this is of the adult population.

Miss Widdecombe

The latest available information relates to the areas covered by the four social security offices in Leicester. Information about the total adult population in this area is not available, and the figure for child benefit could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
