HC Deb 28 February 1991 vol 186 c575W
Mr. Ron Davies

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he proposes to take any action to secure the burial of carcases of animals left at St. Tudwal's Island East; if he will institute proceedings against the owner in respect of cruelty to the animals involved and the failure to dispose of carcases; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. David Hunt

Responsibility for burial of the carcases left at St. Tudwal's Island East rests with the owner of the animals. Local authorities have enforcement powers if there is a risk to public health. It is understood that the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is collecting evidence.
