30. Mr. Menzies Campbell

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he will be making at the EC Environment Council on 18 March in respect of the environmental implications of the Gulf conflict.

Mr. Heseltine

I discussed the Gulf oil spill with my European Community partners during the meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris on 30 January and the forthcoming Environment Council will give us an opportunity to continue those discussions.
