To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when the United Kingdom delegates last sought to raise at the United Nations Security Council the Indonesian occupation of East Timor.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

The United Kingdom has not sought to raise the East Timor issue since voting in favour of United Nations Security Council resolution No. 389 in 1976.
