To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many prosecutions for illegal female circumcision have taken place in the United Kingdom since 1985; and if he will make a statement.

Records available centrally show no prosecutions in the United Kingdom between 1985 and 1989 under the Prohibition of Female Circumcision Act 1985.
