There is no information available on Scottish agricultural exports. Information on Scottish manufacturing exports comes from the annual surveys conducted by the Scottish Council (Development and Industry). Information for the years 1985 to 1989 on the value of Scottish manufacturing exports (at both current and 1990 prices) for each of the states in the Gulf region are given in the tables below.
The Scottish Council survey for the years 1985–86 does not include estimates of Scottish manufacturing exports to the Maghreb region. However, exports to Libya were £11 million in 1985 and 1989 and less that £10 million in 1986–88 (current prices). Exports to the other Maghreb countries between 1985–89 were too small to be recorded separately.
