To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list, in ranking order, the 30 parliamentary constituencies with the most economically active people.

The only regular source of data on the economically active population is the labour force survey. This is a sample survey of about 60,000 households in Great Britain. Because of the size of the sample, estimates can be made only down to regional level.
