§ Mr. CurryFree trade within the EC and the establishment of a support system capable of allowing United Kingdom producers to compete on equal terms were key aims of the Government in the review of the sheepmeat regime in 1989. These remain the Government's aims during the transitional period before the reformed sheep regime becomes fully operational by the end of the 1992 marketing year at the latest.
