§ Mr. Peter LloydWe have no plans to propose legislation to incorporate the European convention on human rights and fundamental freedoms into domestic law. We are committed to, and support, the principles of human rights in the convention, but we believe that it is for Parliament rather than the judiciary to determine how these principles are best secured.
