HC Deb 20 February 1991 vol 186 c183W
Mr. Cartwright

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what steps he is taking to encourage the use of low-energy light bulbs in his Department's offices and other buildings.

Mr. Lang

Most Scottish Office buildings have fluorescent lights, and these are cleaned and relamped regularly. Low-energy lamps are fitted wherever possible. A number of incandescent lights have either been replaced with low-energy compact fluorescent units or converted to accept these.
