To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what steps he is taking to encourage the use of low-energy light bulbs in his Department's offices and other buildings.

My Department will invest in high-efficiency lighting where it is cost effective to do so. A start has been made in our headquarters building, and lighting surveys for other offices are planned as part of a five-year energy efficiency programme.
