§ Mr. ForthEuropean Council directive 80/836/ Euratom, as amended by European Council directive 84/647/Euratom, was implemented in the United Kingdom in 1985. The bulk of the requirements were covered by the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1985 and supporting approved code of practice. The residual requirements were covered by existing legislation:
- The Radioactive Substances Act 1960.
- The Food Act 1984.
- The Medicines (Administration of Radioactive Substances) Regulations 1978.
