§ Mr. RedwoodMy Department does not collect information on price changes for bottled gas. I have received a number of representations about increases in the price of liquefied petroleum gas following recent developments in the Gulf. Copies of all correspondence received have been passed to the Director General of Fair Trading who is making some inquiries into recent changes in the price of LPG. His purpose is to establish whether action is warranted under the competition legislation.
