§ The Attorney-GeneralThe recently published National Consumer Council report on private bailiffs recommended that the Community Charges (Administration and72W Enforcement) Regulations 1989 be amended to require all bailiffs to be certificated. That is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment.
The Government have no plans at present to introduce legislation requiring all bailiffs to be certificated.
